I am in relationship with this great guy Mark. We have been together 2 1/2 yrs and we have had our ups and downs.

A little over a yr ago I started to fall for one of my friends at work, Dane. We have known each other for 4 yrs at the time and we decided to go out one night with mutual friends since Mark was always working he never called me. He was always so busy working, never made time for me.

We went out dancing, had a great time Dane and I, then as the night came to an end he kissed me and we ended up making out and talking until 5 in the morning.

Well to make this long story short, it is now a little over a yr later and I left him twice to go back to Mark but I find myself always going back to Dane. I can be myself with him but I hate to hurt Mark's feelings.

Considering Mark caught Dane at my house one night back in April and they got into a fist fight and I was hit by Mark (I had 5 stitches in my face) and in August Mark had to do time in jail for what he had done to Dane and I. I felt so terribly guilty like everything was my fault, so I went back with Mark. He told me he loved me and wanted to work things out. I thought I wanted the same. Were the feelings I had guilt?

I don't know. I am so confused. I feel like I am going to have a nervous breakdown. Dane has always been there for me through it all.

I don't think you deserve either of them. But you obviously know that cos that's why you feel so guilty. get your life sorted out so that you don't bring your sh't into your relationships!! I know this sounds harsh but do you really expect sympathy for your situation? Some people find it really hard finding one special person to be with. good luck!! :)

A male reader, anonymous, writes (27 October 2005):

I don't know what your feelings are, but you should be ashamed of yourself for two timing Mark. The fact that he got into a fight with Dane over you is outrageous. He should have thrown you both out of the house. That is why he went to jail. He is a good guy, but do you deserve him? Does he deserve you, or someone who is more mature, and who will realize just how good she has it? Talk to Mark, and take some serious time deciding where you want your life to go. If you still want Dane, do Mark a favor, and leave. No one likes a two -timer.
