Someone who is currently in a war zone did not contact you for a week.... oh well.. maybe he can't contact you.
you could send a message saying "hi haven't heard from you hope everything is ok" but that's it...
then you sit and wait... and by wait I mean CARRY ON WITH YOUR LIFE....
it's only 3 months, it's a friend of a friend not a boyfriend... no reason to put your life on hold for something that might turn into something but currently is nothing.

Just wait for him to contact you. You can send him messages once in a while asking if everything is OK with him. You can also ask your friend if everything is OK with him. There could be several reasons why he's not contacting you:
1. He met someone else
2. He is so busy he hasn't had time to go online
3. Lost internet connection
