writes:okay tomorow well pretty much today im qoinq to this party at some popular girls house with my friends. theres going to be alchohol and lots of high schoolers and smoking and i dont know what to do. ive really never been to a party. and i have to lie to my parents saying im going to my friends house and since im not allowed to go to sleepovers im guna ask to stay till 11 then go back to her house and get picked up like nothing happen. im so nervous i dont know why. reader, anonymous, writes (2 May 2009): Lying about a party isn't a good idea! I lied about where I was and went to a party...And I was in a terrble drunken state and hurt myself(nothing serious),my mum knew I was lying, but to this day I still deny it :S...Since then I haven't lied about where i'll be. I believe in karma, and if you lie so you're able to go somewhere it usually turns out to be rubbish anyway! Also it'll turn out to be rubbish cos you'll be worrying about being caught the whole time. The fact that you feel nervous is probably because you're worried they'll find out...Or worried about the party? If you still go to the party, you should be careful and don't get drunk, or smoke anything. Make this the last party you lie about! Next time just ask, and let them know you'll be reasonably sensible.
