writes:Hey there;I have a few issues that I'm really embarressed about but I feel peoples experience will help me understand before I go to the doctors.Okay, here goes:This Valentines I wanted to skip my period and so I take the pills according to direction to prevent getting my period. Now, I've skipped about 3 times in the 4 - 5 years I've been taking this pill only this time it doesn't really skip.I've been taking my yellow pills every day for the past week and few days and I've been getting really silly discharges.Not only that, today I checked to see if I was clean because it's been ages since I've been allowed to have sex with my boyfriend and out of no where; my vagina makes a horrible wind breaking sound. Then I tried to test how my vagina was doing to see if I was clean and my semen color is a dark white and smells bad as well.Which means I'm probably still discharging...What on earth could be happening?Any advice would be great!

I'll go to the doctors and find out for sure but I read about the yeast infection and it sounds like I might have it so I'll check it out.

reader, anonymous, writes (19 February 2010): i know exactly what your on about, your pill is fine dont worry. thats happened to me, sometimes it just doesnt skip because your going to be on heavy from before. dont worry, just have your break and it will be fine.
also about the smelly discharge, i notice mies like that just when im about to come on, its fine. if your really worried tho visit your gp.

reader, anonymous, writes (19 February 2010): This is verified as being by the original poster of the questionOkay, sorry well I know this is gross to hear about it but tonight my boyfriend and I tried to have sex but as soon as he put himself inside of me I didn't feel right about it as I didn't think the pill was working.
So, as he pulled out I saw white liquid on his penis and it was from me but it was a dark white and it smelt bad as well.
There was little amount of evidence that it may be due to my unusual discharges.
What I mean by "clean" is how I test to see if I'm okay to have sex after my period is if I stick one finger inside and check to see if the liquid inside of me is clear.
But, it hasn't been because of my discharges. It's just very off putting.

I'm a bit confused by your question. What do you mean by your semen? Was this after you had sex with your boyfriend?
I would assume by "dark white" that there is no blood in the discharge? But you will always have some sort of discharge as this is how the vagine keeps itself clean, whether or not you are having your period. I don't think this is problematic, therefore.
If it smells very bad then it's best to get checked by your doc.
Also, what do you mean by clean? I don't get the impression that you mean clean with regards to personal hygiene but I'm not sure. Do you mean a clear type of discharge or something akin to this? Your question is a but hard to understand. Some clarification will help get better answers.
