The medical desission is taking to long and now they have me on deploying status. I currently have a temp profile and have been deemed non deployable. But the chain of camand is telling me to be patient about this. My choice is to get out of the millitary becouse I have a difficult time just performing basic duties. The doc has me on advair, abuteral, and some allergies pills. Any advice to me on what I could do to speed up the process would be great. Thank

As a Soldier for 19 plus years, I suggest that you let the medical system takes ts course. If your condition is that you are non deployable, the Army will do it's best to medically discharge you. If they deem that you are deployable, you roles in combat will be drastically reduced (light duty, desk job). If you let the system work for you, you might be able to leave with a medical discharge and a disability payment and medical coverage (asthma related only) for the rest of your life.
