Over the years Ive suffered from recurring UTIs and the same problem your now experiencing. My Doctors did some swabs and told me I had BV, Bacterial Vaginosis. Its basically an imbalance of the PH in your vagina which is easily treated with anti-biotics. You must get checked out because left untreated, esp in pregnancy, can cause long term problems.

To avoid it recurring I use 'Fem Fresh' shower wash which is PH balanced for women to use on intimate areas, stick to cotton underwear and avoid douching.

Lots of other things can upset the PH balance down there also i.e. mens sperm so bear that in mind too. x

The first thing i would say is stop washing down there, this will make it worse. Your body has natural ways of cleaning down there and putting harsh soaps etc there causes more problems than it fixes. Every women has some sort of odour in this area but if you find it has gotten worse or changed in scent then i would recommend that you go to a dr. It sounds like it could be thrush, if it is the dr can recommend something for this. Goodluck i hope you get it sorted out soon.

Donnah agony auntOdor only? Typically cottage cheese discharge and/or itching is a sign of a yeast infection. Foul odor though, I would definitely see a doctor. There may be something else brewing up.

Believe it or not, men's sperm have ordors too. Some are stronger than others. When his sperm is in you the combination is not a good one. Don't let him go inside you for a couple weeks and tell me if there's a difference. Try it out and let me know. But do go see a doctor to cross off any possible issues.

BTW, avoid the douche thing. Your body has natural mechanisms to cleanse itself. For example, after sex, you usually need to urinate afterwards. That is your bodies natural way of ensuring that no germs go where they shouldn't to avoid a urinary tract infection. It is recommended to urinate within 20 minutes after sex.

Take care,

Donnah

Yea I got the same prob...but am not in a relationship and haven't been in one for over a year.. I am careful not to intentionally put soap down there and wear cotton knickers to prevent thrush. But yet I still smell...kinda smells a bit like wee...but it's not. Guys/gals what is this???

Toria agony auntAlthough this may just be a problem that can be dealt with, with fem wash it may also be a sign of an infection of some sort which your doctor will be able to take some swabs and treat the problem properly.

Hope this helps :o)
