writes: i've been going out with a girl for nearly 6 months and i really do love her, she seems to be perfect and could picture myself spending the rest of my life with her. However i have always had a wandering eye but i would never act upon, recently i've been speaking to another girl and although i've tried to get her out of my head, i really can't and i'm worried that i could end up falling in love with her. i've became completely infatuated with her. I don't want to leave my girlfriend because i do love her, but what are my options? or how can i get this other girl out of my head? Reply to this Question

reader, anonymous, writes (30 September 2006): It sounds like you are extremely immature and selfish, and you seriously don't deserve the girlfriend that you already have- you say that you "love" her- do you know what love is, or are you just an emotionally inept, selfish infatuation junkie?!!! Do your girlfriend a favour and let her get on with her life without you- it sounds like she deserves so much better.

 Its just the "forbidden fruit sydrome". Everyone wants what they can't have. If you are happy with your girlfriend don't screw it up over a "maybe". When you have something special hold on to it. Have your fantasy but don't take it any futher. The grass is not always greener on the other side my friend. Use the infatuation to have stronger bond with your girlfriend. Everytime you think of the other girl, call your girlfriend or text her. If you're around her kiss her or play in her hair. A bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush. Good Luck.

 I think you need to take sometime out and work through you head and feelings.
I feel that maybe this other girl is just an attraction and no harm to your relationship or feelings towards your girlfriend.
