 i think saying hello spontaneously like that might be a little weird, as well as asking for hobbies, do you know what i mean? how would you feel if someone just came to you, whom you've barely talked to, and started asking these questions? you might have to find a way to relate something to her or that will require a conversation or you talking to her.. it is a good place since you're at school, and you can talk about schoolwork and such... "have you done this.. blah blah" and talk about it together.. try to bring more contact littel by little

first of all start by saying "hello" when you see her and that. if she doesn't say hello back it doesn't mean that she doesn't like you it could mean she is shy, or has the same problem as you. just go over and start talking,introduce yourself, start to make conversation, ask her about herself. tell her your hobbies and ask her hers. keep building up on this and soon enough when you feel the time is right ask her on a date. don't be embarressed she may of never been on a date before either, and might not know the first thing about things relating to boys. try it see how it goes, the worst which i doubt she will is say no!!
