reader, anonymous, writes (16 June 2008): well i also think that the best top tip is first to become her best friend this will gradually bring you closer and closer and jus flirt with her, have a laugh and basically just get to know her, once you think you have become proper friends maybe tell her you like her, she proberly will be glad that you told her - i know that if a boy liked me i would rather know about it than getting confused in the meantime...anyways good luck - hope its works out well for you :) xxx

 Firstly let her know that you like her. But don't ask friends to tell her because girls just don't like that because they assume you have no confidence which is a turn-off for most, if not all, girls.
If you find out she likes you also then ask her out if not then move on and don't let it get to you too much.
