writes: ever since i was like 12 years old i used to get this burning uncomfortable sensation in my vagina , not insede i guess i dont know where just my vagina , it stopped happening for a while but now it comes and goes , it just comes out of the nowhere and stays for 30 mins or 3 hours no specefic time . is this normal ? . it doesnt seem to be associated with anything in my diet or anything ... any help ? this really interfers with my life

You really should see a doctor. You shouldn't have to put up with this, I'm sure there's something they can do for you.

reader, anonymous, writes (18 July 2009): I'm going to assume you weren't sexually active at 12 (some people ARE) and rule out that it's nothing to do with sexual activity. It could be some kind of infection, or cystitis - if it hurts when you pee and if you need to go more often. These are only a couple of likely options, but you really need to see a doctor and get it checked out!
