Curse the evil, if its unwanted and request your mind to be healed with a normal appitite in Jesus name. your appitite will return

I've had this problem too where I think eating is a complete waste of time and I find it really annoying. I saw that I was skipping meals and that made me look sickly thin. What I found that worked was that I had to distract myself while doing it. Step one was to get food on my plate, exactly the amount I was supposed to eat and made myself promise to eat it all so I don't waste food, children starving in Africa, blah blah blah.
Second thing I did was to sit my butt in front of the tv, or to watch a video on the computer.
Turns out I get so busy watching the show that it barely registers that I am eating, so I don't even think about it!
Now here's the REALLY important part: I have a small notebook as a food diary. You could set this up however you want with printed forms, etc. But the important thing is to make sure you eat at least three meals a day. That will make eating a routine, normal thing for you.

I don't think there is anything I havent tried to correct the fact that even the smell of food nauseates me. Neither can I pinpoint a particular event in my life that triggered this condition. It is so bad, that I have not slept for more than 4 hrs at a time for 5 years. Most people think that hunger means appetite, but this is not the case. This condition has disorganized my hunger and sleep cues and after 4 years, I have noticed a decrease in my cognitive ability and my quality of life in general. I have currently begun on the line of seeking medical attention. To all the guys above, thanks for all your replies.

This is so unhealthy hunni. You are doing your young body SO much damage. I had an eating disorder when I was in my teens and I was still struggling the after effects when I fell pregnant.
Can you talk to your mum or another adult like your doctor. I kept my hatred for food hidden for so long I became very sick. And it can kill you! Your doctor may be able to help out with some food supplement shakes and put you in contact with other people who feel similar to you. I never thought I had a problem until I was admitted to hospital.
Talk to your parents and tell them you NEED their help and support as you do have a problem and want to change but you do need them. It's not easy but you sound like you know you need to be eating more.
Ok you may not like loads and loads of food, so why not eat the foods you do like.
If you want to chat more hunni drop me a message ok :)
Good luck!

When I was your age and through most of my teens I avoided food all the time. And my mom would try to get me to eat and I wouldn't. But for me it was because I was "dieting."
Anyhow I ended up getting very sick and was hospitalized and almost lost my life. I looked horrible.
So after that I still never recovered from my bad eating habits and just kept eating bad through ALL of my teens. And then my hair started to fall out when I was like 16. And by the time I was 19 I started eating better. But I had always been athletic but I noticed things different in my body. Like I would get palpitations. And I had muscle loss from not eating enough protein.
Look all I am saying is that IT WILL AFFECT YOUR HEALTH. You need proper nutrition so that you can have beautiful skin and hair and nails. And so that your body develops properly and you have good definition and muscle tone. And so that you don't get sick. And so that your body keeps functioning at its peak. Especially at your age. Don't neglect it like I did.
Everyday force yourself to eat yogurt, and chicken and broccoli. And a bowl of rice. JUST EAT. PLEASE. And if you need help to start please tell your mom so you can contact a professional who can help you better.

Not only that, but you could develope other health problems and fatigue due to this eating problem. About how much do you really eat a day, though? I know I am the type of person who doesn't eat until my stomach growels as well, but pretty much only because I am a pretty busy person. My eating habits have caused damage to the lining of my stomach and my esophagus, though, so don't take this too lightly. Seek help from a medical professional to assess your situation. Only a physician can give you the truly helpful and beneficial advice you seek. My doctor actually prescribed me medical marijuanna to increase my appetite, lol, but I'm not one to go off and smoke pot, so I went back for alternatives. You need to take the first step in making yourself healthy and well, and go see your doctor about this. Your doctor is really the only person who can assess your exact situation and come up with a solution that will help you. Don't be afraid to go. I know I always was, but it was much better for me in the long run to take that first step.
