 talk to him. maybe he feels unsure about what happened. maybe he wasn't ready. maybe he is afraid you want more. maybe he felt inadequate. maybe he wants to do it again but is keeping away because he doesn't want to change the relationship!
in any case, ask him what is going on and reassure him you still want to be friends!
