A female reader, Wendyg United Kingdom +, writes (26 June 2006):

Wendyg agony auntWe do seem to get this get this question quite alot. It can mean that you are pregnant, its not entirely inlikely not to have periods whilst pregnant. I do know some woman that have had light periods for the first 6 months of pregnancy, so it could be possible that you are pregnant, one way to know for sure is to either do a test or pop along to your GP. It could also mean that your cycle is about to change, some woman have a constant cycle others can change and then settle again. Without knowing your past history or if you are on the pill or not its hard to say if its a sign that you could be pregnant or its just a slight hormonal change or an imbalance. If you are a aneamic or have lost weight recently then this too can also affect the way your periods behave. But one fire way of knowing for sure is to get tested. If your not pregnant and are still concerned talk it over with your GP.

Take care x
