writes: i'm the type of lady thats stick to one guy if i care about him even if we are not in a relationship. well , i don't know how to get out of this habit. i feel stupid when i put my all into someone and they just use me because they know that i will be there for them. why do i fall for guys like this? why they don't take me serious? why don't they want a relationship with me? do you think i need to get tough with them or stop being so easy going. In a short answer- Yes.
Its nice that you put so much effort into your relationships, but unfortunately there is a great proportion of people who take advantage of it. Make sure you completely trust a partner before you let yourself fall for them. You dont have to stop being who you are, you just have to be a bit choosier in who you pick to be your partner.
It could just be that you've been unlucky in love so far but remember this is just a learning curve and things will get better.

reader, anonymous, writes (27 May 2008): You're obviously a kind and caring person, but the guys that you are seeing are sadly treating you like a doormat. You can't change your kind nature, but you deserve respect. When you start a relationship don't go in head first, be cautious. Don't take any demands or disrespect off people either and I think you'll find that you will get more respect off people. Men are foolish and treat women like you wrong, you deserve someone as kind and caring as you. I hope you find someone just like that, good luck Xx
