writes:So im 13 years old and i just went on my first date ever with a boy my age. I like him alot and have talked to him before but always with other people we knew around. This was the first instance where we were alone (sort of we went to a public place) . The whole time i barely spoke and used short answers. I dont know why but i just froze up. I know he wanted to talk 2 me i just wasnt responding all that well. Anyways i want to know if anyone thinks that i have a slight chance of him wanting to go out with me again. And any advice for getting over these nerves would be GREATLY appriciated!!!! help please Reply to this Question

reader, anonymous, writes (8 February 2009): Um the previous answer is ridiculous!!!! You aren't too young to date (As long as you take it slow etc) If you have talked to him before he'll probably know that you were just nervous and hopefully ask you about it so that you can explain yourself:)

My dear, you're way too young to be dating solo. If I was your mother I would hold off on dating for at least 3-4 more years.Going out on group "dates" is probably the best thing for kids your age - this will help break the ice during conversations as well.
