I have a great time when I am with them as we are all very close, but when I have to come home, it breaks my heart knowing that I will be so far away from them within some hours ! I cry for hours before I leave and on the whole journey home. And when I arrive home, all I do is think about them, and miss them! My uncle who lives over there is like a father to me and I miss him so much ! Why is it that the people I am really close to live so far away ! Its not fair :(What can I do to try and take my mind off of my family or what can I do to make it a little easier to deal with ! I get scared sometimes that something might happen to one of them and I could not be with them, if say for instance they died, I would feel so bad that I could not say bye to them or spend their last few months with them !Please help, I cant stop crying ! my brothers live in America and i live in Britain so i totally understand this. emailing is a great way to keep in touch and don't dwell on the 'what ifs'. yes, something could happen to them but the chances are slim and even if something did happen you've got the great memories of staying with them every year.
also, i don't know if you have a job or not, but maybe you could look into getting one so you can save up money for a plane ticket and go twice a year. 6 months will pass really quickly.
other than that, when you get home after visiting them, keep yourself busy so you don't have time to get upset over it all.

That is why when you are with them, you make the most of it and enjoy every minute you have with them. Take plenty of pictures and on your way home think about making a scrap book and use the pictures you took to place in it with special sayings to tell them how much you love them. Surprise them with it in the mail.
There is always texting, email, mail, send pictures back and forth via email or cell phone. You make the most of what you have and what is available to you and act on it.
Always think of something good that you can do for them and this will ease your mind because remember...they will miss you to!

Maybe you could keep in touch on a daily basis via emails, photos, etc. Or maybe look into going to college near them . . . and then who knows, maybe you'll become a U.S. citizen.

I lift my lamp beside the golden door."

Good luck.

You are reflecting on the good time you had. Now you are realizing nothing good lasts forever. You are just experiencing life and don't know how to react. Your heart should be smiling.
