Apart from using me as an object of gratification in this manner, I don't really think my mother values me for the kind of person I am or my feelings. There is always this battle playing inside me as to what is it that really matters? Is it being center of attraction the way my mom wants, or being a significant person for someone in their life? lmao she MUST be a Virgo!!!! She's only proud of her son and wants what's best for him. You need to get to know your mum a bit better, ask her out for a day together, take her for a coffee and let her know that you're a grown man now and can look after yourself. Do you still live at home or have you your own place?
