I feel like she is a little bit extra than the normal 'hi'.

A male United States age 41-50, anonymous writes:

Hi.

I am a male and I train at a physical fitness place. There is this one particular girl who works there (at the front reception) and she is the type of person who always is very polite. However, I feel at times she is a little extra, like more than the usual "hi, are are things?".

Like today, I went to the fitness center with my mate and when we walked in she did the usual "hi how is everything" then she said "I see you guys here everyday you must really be dedicated" and I said "nah, thats just me who comes everyday" and she said "ya I know you".

Now the thing about this is, I think this girl is really attractive and for along time Ive been trying to do something, which I couldn't bring myself to do. Because I am an extreme detail freak, its the little things that stop me, like the fact that being polite is apart of her job and apparently apart of her personality.

Now I know the only way to be sure is to talk with her but I am at a "what the hell?" stage.... and confused.

What is your opinion?

A female reader, anonymous, writes (13 January 2008):

You could ask her if its been a busy day today, or if she enjoys her job, how long she has worked there etc. Hopefully that will start a conversation off.

Then you could leave it open and say, if you want to go for a coffee afterwards that'd be cool. Then if worst case scenario happens and she says no, things won't be awkward when you see her again.

Hiya, you clearly like this girl if your having difficulty approaching her. A girl loves it when a guy makes the first move, it makes him manly confident and maybe im just speaking for myself but its a great attraction in a guy. I personally think that you should go for it, ask her if she fancies going for lunch or a drink sumtime. You won't know untill you try. I believe that life is about taking chances, if you dont ask this girl out you may not get another chance! GOOD LUCK DARLIN! xxx
