Unfortunately, some guys are just looking for a mother substitute. Someone who can tell them what to do and look after them. They look cute at you because that is what has always worked before.
Tell him to man up as you don't want to be his mother and if he can't do it then you just have to find someone else. It's hard to make a guy change.
