But i'm going through a tough time at the moment and feel i need school councelling, it has been recommended to me by a few friends and i am beginning to consider it! I was just wondering how i go about it, i mean...i don't even know if there is a councellor at our school - But i can get the answer to that easily enough! I just need to hear from others who have had councelling at school before, i'm scared incase other pupils find out! I'd have to move schools if that happened...i couldn't bare it! I need to know if they take you out of lessons, because that could be a big giveaway and also how do they help you through your problems, is it just talking? Please help, i'm a little nervous about it xx All will be appreciated xx Reply to this Question Share |

What i didn't mention is that i don't want my parents to know about it - it isn't an issue at home but i'm just ashamed of the mess i've got into and would prefer my parents not to know! The person who i confide in, will keep it conidential...right? I really hope so...
I know some of you wanna know the situation but i just don't think anyone will understand my problem, it's a complicated mess!
Thank you for all your comments though - they're very helpful to me :)

Point out that you dont want others to know about it and i am sure they will keep it quiet. Why do you need counselling? If you went along to your doctors and explained to them they can also put you in touch with a counsellor who wouldnt have any contact with the school and maybe a better choice.

If u need the help, go and get it. U r the only one that matters, not anyone else. Also, councelling is jst tlkin bhut if u say something thats realli serious the counceller may hav to tell. Last of all, if its a girl thing, then confide in ur mum, she shuld no all the rite thngs to say...or maybe anouther female relative? Wel hope this helpedxxx
