I feel he's growing distant...

Question - (6 December 2009) 1 Answers - (Newest, 6 December 2009)
A female United States age 30-35, *elples writes:

Lately it seems like my boyfriend and I are growing distant, we're talking less and it doesn't seem to bother him like it did before. I haven't said anything until I realized it myself I should be saying something about it, to see where his feelings are. But just when I was about to tell him, he fixed something with his tooth making him unable to talk on the phone.. (LDR). I don't know how long or until when it will heal but I'm afriad the longer I wait, the worse it will get. I want a fast reply and texting him about it which is what we've been doing (but obviously not for too long because he either takes a while to reply or I just get fed up and leave) will definitely give me a slow reply. What should I do? Should I wait it out for who knows how long? Or just text him about it..?

A female reader, anonymous, writes (6 December 2009):

What do you mean, "he fixed something with his tooth?" Did he break or chip his tooth somehow? Maybe trying to open a bottle cap, or something?

Maybe you should show some sympathy for him, you said he can't talk on the phone. Why don't you just send him a text or email - or letter - to ask how he is and you hope his tooth will be alright, then say you're looking forward to hearing from him, and have some things you'd like to discuss. Be friendly; be sympathetic and just wait a while until he gets back to you.

You don't know what's going on; you said its an LDR relationship and I'm afraid you'll just have to be patient until you can either speak with him, or perhaps go visit in person. Meantime, try not to worry about it.......there may be no real reason TO worry, you know?
