reader, anonymous, writes (5 July 2007): she's probably just being friendly. at your age its only natural to be confused about you sexuality. sometimes we can become infatuated with someone because of who they are, especally if its someone really popular and pretty. although no-one will admit it but everyone has had the same thoughts at some point or another. my advice would be don't make any hasty decisions and kept it to yourself for a while until you figure out how you feel, or speak to someone you trust.

Well first things first. Relax! you are fourteen years old and the hormones in your body are amazingly powerful and confusing!
Don't panic about the feelings you are feeling, you may not be interested in guys at the moment although almost everyone (although rarely admitted) goes through a phase of being attracted to the same sex "i.e. for you Girls" so first things first don't ever be ashamed of your feeling because that is who you are!
Right now thats out of the way!
you need to have a "sit down" with yourself, alone and in the quiet, and decide if the feelings towards your best friend are that of love, because i have felt it myself, although there is a difference in loving someone and being in love with someone, if you manage to figuire this out, things will instantly become clearer. ask yourself "if you love your friend or you are in love with your friend" honestly there is a big, big difference!
Secondly:
This boy, daniel, is probably wanting to make you jealous, as he probably likes you! If not he's doing it to wind you up, although would your friend really do that?
the girls that kissed you! hmmmm well this culd be a number of things, if the kiss was on the cheek then it was probably just a friendship kiss, so don't loose your head, however if the kiss was passionate, there may be something there, however please bear in mind that her hormones are also rapidly racing around her body and she may be confused in herself and feel the need to experiment with the same sex! I think if you believe that the kiss was passionate, remind her of it, and say what was that all about, and ask her straight out if she would ever kiss or have a relationship with a girl, you might be suprised by her reaction! However please if your going to do this, do it when your alone and both realxed.
Please remember, do what you want just keep safe, and if you are a homosexual/bisexual (which i believe you might be as you seem to like girls and boys) then you should be proud of who you are, NEVER FEEL ASHAMED! Your a Growing, teenage girl and its completly natural to want to experiment it's a part and process of finding out who you are in this world! your feeling will probably change towards this girl as friends do come and go! And feeling definatly change for better or for worse!
