We send e-mails everyday and although he's afraid someone finds out about our special friendship, he invited me to go dinner at his place. Is this a dangerous ground? We connect well with each other, maybe this can work out...

If only because of the time, effort, and financial cost of getting an education, I would think it wise for you to stop your, "special friendship" before it goes any further. Especially since, "he's afraid someone finds out about our special friendship," your chances of a meaningful relationship with this teacher are at best zero.
