I need help. I feel dead inside. I'm 16 years old and i've felt like this since I started college at the beginning of September. That place just sucks everything out of me. I ended a relationship with the guy I want to spend the rest of my life with because I just stopped feeling and it wasn't fair on him. I'm not even working particularly hard at college but I still feel so run down all the time. There's only two things I still enjoy about life; music and sex and both of them just feel like so much effort. The thing is, I can't quit college because I need an education because I am intelligent and i'm at one of the top colleges in the country so if i were to drop out i'd feel as though I weren't doing myself justice. I need something to pull me up out of this hole.

Toria agony auntI think maybe you need to take some time out even if its just a week or two to get yourself straight and some sleep, when we are tired things always seem harder and worse than they really are, if you still suffer from this problem after the time out maybe you should go to see your doctor and maybe they can refer you to someone you can talk to as that might help.

Good luck :o)

I've had the same problem lately. You just have so much going on that when you have free time, you either want to sleep or you want to finish the million things you haven't had time to do. Maybe you should drop a class if you really don't need it. Also, catch up on your sleep. Go to bed as early as possible for a few weeks-even if you have to sacrifice your favorite tv show or a little time talking on the phone. Once you catch up on your sleep, maybe you won't feel so run down. Call your boyfriend up and see if he wants to spend a day together on the weekend. Go outdoors somewhere where you can get some fresh air.

I find this interesting, since I am alone and in college and I pour all my energy to school, because its all I have. Find some way to really get into school. If you are intelligent as you say you are, then you shoudl be curious and wanting to study and understand more. Perhaps this is because you are only 16( you are going to college early?) Maybe take a little less credits( or more interesting classes- say an art elective or something) or go out and get a part time job, enjoy the city or town you are in, visit others... Plan things with others.. Moping around wont help the problem. I knwo what you mean about everything sucking life you of you.. Take it easy for a while and just focus on school- dont worry about sex and other people for a while- focus on yourself and your future and maybe you can find some common( and comfortable) ground. Hope this helps!
