A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I’m in a fairly long distance relationship with this really amazing guy who I love so much. My parents really seem to have such a huge problem with it though, they don’t want us speaking over the internet and they want him to come and see me rather than me travelling to see him, which really isn’t plausible as we live in different states and he works. We really connected and I hate that they are trying to end it, I don’t want to break up with him but don’t want to lose my parents respect, what do I do… I’m really confused. Thanks.

You can't blame them for not trusting a man they have never met when you hear all these horror stories about nutcases that you get on the internet.

Yes he works but not 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Get him to come and visit you on a weekend to meet your parents.

You should find it gets easier after that. They are just looking out for you and they don't want you to get murdered by a psycho or cheated on by a guy you are obviously doing all the running around for.

Good Luck!! xx
