reader, anonymous, writes (5 July 2006): Hey I agree with BevConolly. You obviously liked for reason not pertaining to height. My guy is shorter and I love him to pieces. If your height isn't an issue for him, his shouldn't be for you. Great guys are hard to come by. I'm sure he makes up for it :-) Be happy! Life is too short to bother with unimportant factors.

 The best two things I can tell you are:
1. Don't act like it's an issue and it won't be.
2. Unless you two are already adults, there's a very good chance that he'll get taller in a year or two, so you won't have to worry about it any longer.
He already knows that he's shorter than you are, so if you have to lean over a bit to cuddle him, so what? You care about the guy, right? So lean over a bit.
Try not to make it a topic of conversation, because some people regard height as a matter of personal pride, and he might think that you think less of him because he's not as tall as you are. Just leave it out of the conversation, and if anyone has the brass balls to bring it up you can say,
"You know, he's such a great guy, that it's never been something I thought about."
