I don't want him to think I'm not interested but I also don't want to look overly impressed

A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I have a date in a few weeks with a guy I met a while ago and really like. We spoke and flirted here and there but our schedules never permitted us to see each other. Now that we are, it just seems like he is trying too hard and I'm not sure how to respond to it. He keeps calling me beautiful over and over and telling me he misses me. Then he sent me a picture of him in his luxury car in a show off kind of stance and said he couldn't wait to see me. He is indeed a really nice guy and I do like him but I got kind of turned off by all of this. I didn't respond after he sent the picture but now that I think about it, is it possible I could have hurt his ego by doing that? I don't want him to think I'm impressed but at the same time I don't want him to think I'm not interested either.
