 She could like you but like you said, she could be using you for attention and what she can get from that.
Try testing the waters, she could be feeling the same as you, unsure and not wanting to say or do anything in case its not what you're wanting.
Otherwise actually talk to her and see what she is thinking and feeling, it can't hurt and you could gain from this.
