I've known him for nearly 3 years and we've always got on, but recently we've been talking more and he's getting me involved in the teaching side of things (which is fair enough as I'm getting ready for my black belt grading). We're both married, his children are grown up, mine are still young and he's 15 years older than me. Until yesterday, he'd always been totally professional but then he flirted with me (I think!). After class when everyone else had left, we were chatting together. I was moaning about one of the other students putting me off with the rolls of flab under his suit and he responded by saying "That's why I have you stood in front of me, there's no comparison whatsoever, I can assure you". To put it into context, he usually has me positioned in front of him whilst we're training, but I'd never even questioned the reasoning behind it until then. At that point I laughed, said "Enough said!", to which he replied "Yeah, I think I'd better go!" and we said goodbye. Firstly is this even flirting and does anyone think he is interested? We're both totally passionate about the martial arts, train hard and have spouses that have no interest in training. (I've no plans to wreck my marriage by the way, as I do love my husband).

No it doesnt sound like flirting to me at all, he was just giving you a compliment plain and simple.
