I don't know how to trust him...

Question - (31 March 2008) 1 Answers - (Newest, 31 March 2008)
A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Me and my boyfriend have been going out for nearly 6 months now, we're best mates and in love and can't imagine life without each other.

However I can't trust him, I'm suspicious he might go off with someone else all the time so I read his messages and check where he is and I'm best mates with his ex who he went out with for four years however cheated on with me. He says he's never felt like this for anyone, tells me he loves me all the time and would never hurt me but I don't know how to trust him, I wish I could.

What can I do to stop this getting between us as he is getting quite upset about it?

thanks

eyeswideopen agony auntWell since you know first hand that he's capable of cheating I guess it would be rather hard to trust him. However you will certainly drive him away if you keep checking up on him or accuse him of stuff. Best just leave to the hands of time, you might be able to learn to trust him as time rolls by.
