writes:ok so i like this guy and my best friend told him that i like him but the thing is i don't know how to tell if he likes me back. he keeps trying to start arguments with me and he gives me some weird looks like i'm stupid or something, but once he saw i got a good grade so he said i was a nerd but continued to look at me like i was stupid...PLEASE HELP!!!

 hmm i agree with what anonoymous said below...but if hes giving you dirty looks and is trying to cause arguements with you, then it doesnt to me personally sound as though he is interested in you. Im guessing he is your age, so hes probably quite immature about the fact that a girl likes him. Perhaps you should just tell him that you dont like the way he is treating you, and if he really liked you, he would stop becuase he doenst want to push you away. If he carries on, then theres no point in him at all. Dont waste your time.

I'm 20, male, and can tell you that a popular way of a guy showing interest is teasing. If he's being hurtful and outright disrespectful, then I wouldn't bother with him... because you wouldn't want someone like that anyway. But if he's just teasing you, that's a good sign that he likes you.
Let me put it this way - If he's teasing you, he's giving you attention. It might be a funny way of showing interest, but either way, it's him giving you attention. Try talking to him and maybe he'll warm up to conversation! :)
