Anyway she probably likes you to...and depending on your situation you'll obviously have to confront her differently. I mean if you see her at school...then get your friends to make friends with her and then one day when they're all talking....join in with their conversation, but talk more to her than to anyone else...it's simple and will make sure that you'll get to know her better and that you'll become more confident with her. But if you just see her once a week at a swimming club or something then you have less to lose...so just smile at her when she says or does somthing funny when near you! IT WORKS!...because then she'll start smiling at you when you say something...and then your confidence will build etc etc...

Just be confidant, be yourself, and be willing to accept that you have a 50% chance of rejection. But you'll never know if you don't try. And this will make it easier for you latter in life when you're really into someone. Prove your boys wrong and just say hi.

Seriously though, try dropping her a note - maybe something mysterious like a riddle to keep her guessing, then later on, do something sweet, like a telegram from anonymous. However, that will only work if u have the creativity and IF she is that type of girl.
BTW, I don't believe in the "fish in the sea" ideology. 8]

Life is too short to fret about someone that you have a kid crush on and don't really know. Ask her out and then forget about it. There are alot of fish out there - you'll see.
