You should first try to be her friend.Find out what she likes and what she likes to do in her spare time.Once you know what she like,for example; if she like to read then ask her to go to the library together and then you would also get to know her better.Get to know her first by becoming her friend and then you should persue the relationship further.Hope this helped.

 If i was you i woulden't just steam in there and ask her out,play it cool and maybe do some light flirting with her.
Try to catch her eye and maintain contact for 6 or 7 seconds then smile and look away. Be really friendly with her, maybe ask her what she did or is upto at the weekend whilst smiling and keeping up the eye contact. If you pass or take something try to touch her fingertips as you do so.
Keep this up for a couple of weeks, then if you feel things are going good than ask her if she fancies doing something one weekend.
