I don't know how to argue a point, advice?

Question - (8 April 2008) 1 Answers - (Newest, 8 April 2008)
A male United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

is my girlfriend crazy?

i love to joke around. life just isnt worth living without laughter.

however, I almost always end up in a fight whenever she tries to joke. According to her, I either take it too far, or I can't take a joke.

I often always mess up somehow and she makes sure to let me know. When she "messes up" and try to let her know, I still end up on the wrong.

I don't know how to argue a point, or she is emotionally unstable and excellent at debating.

help, thanks

What do you mean by messing up? Debating is a very good skill. Taking a college class could help.

Joking to much may make someone wonder if your ever serious. I have a habit of doing that myself, even today. So I to need to be cautious. You have to understand and be certain your audience is prepared for your type of humor. My wife doesn't get it, my oldest son will roll on the ground, and my youngest son will ask me to be quite. Tough crowd.

Good luck!
