reader, anonymous, writes (8 April 2008): What do you mean by messing up? Debating is a very good skill. Taking a college class could help.
Joking to much may make someone wonder if your ever serious. I have a habit of doing that myself, even today. So I to need to be cautious. You have to understand and be certain your audience is prepared for your type of humor. My wife doesn't get it, my oldest son will roll on the ground, and my youngest son will ask me to be quite. Tough crowd.
