Question - (29 November 2013) 2 Answers - (Newest, 11 December 2013)
A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

My boyfriend and I have been together almost a year ive only met his mom once and that was when we first started dating. I've only met 3 of his friends. He won't take me around his mom or his other friends. He always says something like his mom doesn't want me at her house or something like that he says she doesn't let anyone come over not even his brothers friends but today his brother told him his girl friend was coming over. Yesterday he went to his moms for thanksgiving and left me at home and told me I couldnt go. I Just don't feel comfortable dating someone who won't let me be around their friends or family. Should I just end this relationship and find someone else?

Aunty BimBim agony auntShort answer, yes.

This relationship is not making you happy, on the contrary it is making you feel uncomfortable and awkward. We all deserve better than that.

Try talking to your boyfriend, ask him if he sees the situation changing radically anytime in the NEAR future, and if things are not going to change then rethink the relationship.
