I don't approve of his drinking. He's trying not to drink but is there anything I can do to help?

i have a friend whose going out with one of my best friends and is my bf's best friend and he used to smoke. he actually smoked for 4 years and stopped 7 months ago. last night when i was talking with him, i found out that hes starting to drink a little. its not a regualr thing though, or so he said. i really dont want anything happening to him and my bf isnt very happy about the whole drinking thing either. he also just found out last night.

is there anything that i can do to help my friend out? he said that he promises that he will do his very best not to drink. can i do anything for him?

HELP!!!

Koragos agony auntas hard as it may be, he is his own person and will probally have to learn from his own mistakes. The more you tell him not to the more he will probally rebel against it. Have you told him how it makes you feel?
