reader, anonymous, writes (24 January 2007): Despite what the anon posters here say, whatever this being wrong or not is dependent on why you think it is wrong in the first place. This is a gray area and differs from person to person. Morality has no place here for such things, as this may seem like incest, but unless you're having sex with your siblings, the cousin thing is still questionable either way.
Now with the actual 'advice' - there is really nothing more you can do aside from trying not to think about it, possibly filling your life with other things to counter balance that lust.
Sexual attraction by itself, in its most raw unrefined form is pure libido. Because we are human born into different cultures and societies, as well as local influences, we have filtered ideals of what sex should be and whom we should be attracted to and not.
ANYONE and everyone can look physically appealing. There is no exception to this. Just because you have a cousin or a sibling, it doesn't mean they cannot be beautiful or handsome. It just means your emotions and the chemicals inside of your body is reacting to what your eyes see and how your mind processes those images.
Also, what first poster Ms. Anon had said about cousins being together as being illegal - this isn't true. Only in some areas of the world is this illegal. You can do a search on the vast web for more information. You can also see that cousins who have children together has their birth defect rate at a slightly higher range than those whom are not related, but this range is only mildly higher.
In short, if you wish to stop, or try to stop, you can't. Unless you gouge out your eyes. Otherwise, try not to hang around with that person as much.
