I didn't want him to tell anybody we'd had sex, but he told his friend. I told mine, so am I just as bad?

My partner and i had sex but as i am 2 years younger i do not want him to tell anybody, but he doesnt mind if i tell people. He went against my will and told his friend. but i told mine so does this make me as bad. He didnt tell me he had told his friend but i knew he had and made him admit it and then later asked him why he didnt tell me, he said he was scared i would finish him, what does this mean?
