reader, anonymous, writes (15 April 2009): Just being more social can help...trust me, all girls have to do is talk to a guy for them to be interested..start talking to your friend more, give him signs, YOU ask to go out with him, the worse thing he can say is no, be in charge, dont push him around but ask him to go places, do be annoying about it, just put it in a cute way.......and try not to start things sexually, usually things like that just end in disaster

You sound like a nice person looks wise so maybe it's not your appearencr hindering you from finding a boyfriend. If you are a quiet person maybe some more self-confidence is needed. You can try to put yourself "out there" more and meet more people if you are shy; there's no harm in it, the worst you'll get is a 'no'. Hope that helps.
