writes: Hey i was wondering if anyone could help me, its really urgent. me and my boyfriend had sex for the first time about three nights ago and we're both 15 but the condom split and he didnt realise until the next day and only told me later the day after, and now im really worried i might be pregnant. i only came off my period about 4 or 5 days before we had sex so does that mean im less likely to be pregnant? my friend might be coming to a clinic with me tomorow but i think im going to have to go to my GP but im scared they will tell my mum and what if its too late and no one can give me anything to stop me from being pregnant.? please reply soon x

Look honey, it's best to just go see your doctor. I understand that you'll be worried, but try and calm your nerves. He'll explain everything to you and maybe you should think about going on the pill?

reader, anonymous, writes (4 June 2008): It is possible to pregnant. However this unlikely to be a fertile time so soon after your period. You could get a home pregnancy test from a pharmacy instead of going to the GP. But no, the GP wont tell your parents so long as you ask him as they are bound by patient-doctor confidentiality. You should consider going on the pill if you are worried about pregnancy.
