writes: I exchanged numbers with a guy at a party, and then we spoke over the phone everyday for about a week, making plans to meet up. He asked a few times to meet although I blew him off due to family commitments and now I have'nt heard off him. What shall I do?

reader, anonymous, writes (9 May 2008): If a guy likes you, nothing will keep him from you, and if he doesn't, nothing will make him stay. Let him know you're interested, because he might've interpreted it as rejection, and sometimes, I don't like to make a nuisance of myself ;)

My hunch is that you made it seem like too much effort by refusing every time he tried to make plans. I think you can still save it. Maybe ask him out somewhere. He might play hard to get for a while but if he really likes you he'll come round really quickly.

I think he was definitely interested in you. But you blowing him off probably made him think you weren't. if you are really interested in him give him a call explain why you blew him off. If hes still is interested you take it from there.
