I begged him not to break up with me

Hi,My boyfriend and been together for three years. He and I was in love but lately we been arguing and we broke up. He told me we have to be friends because he says he is scared. I beged himm but he wants to be friends with me and still talk to me. But i asked him if he can take me to a field trip and he says he will see. and i said its ok. He suddenly got mad when i said that and said to me he will never talk to me again and he said that i will never get any chat messaged from him. I really miss him he hasn't called for a week. Its been a month since we broke up. I really need your help why would he get mad? Is he jelous? I didn't do anything please help me? I email him the other day but he doesn't respond what should i do? please help?
