Question - (30 May 2009) 2 Answers - (Newest, 30 May 2009)
A female United Kingdom age 30-35, *midge writes:

I've been having sex with my boyfriend for 3-4 months now, we never use protection. I was 1-2 weeks later starting my period, so I took the test which came back undecisive. This morning I came on, but the blood flow is just water, I woke up to the usual period pains I normaly get, but it was just liquid. As though my urine had blood in it. I am worried I have some kind of ovary problem or something, but would prefer to know whether I should be worried about this before I go to the doctors or talk to my Mum about it. Any help?

pebble agony auntIt does sound more like an infection than anything else but the only way to be sure is get yourself to a doctor who'll give you all the tests you need.

Then you and your boyfriend need to have a serious talk about contraception because you're being silly. And at some point in the near future you're going to end up pregnant.

If this isn't normal then you have some cause to be concerned about it. Tell your mum if you wish, but in any case it can't do any harm to see your GP about it. Make an appointment first thing on Monday if you've still got the same worries.
