reader, anonymous, writes (4 October 2008): Yeah, I am also 23 years old. I mean I see lots of pretty, sexy girls but just don't make an attempt to 'pick them up' by just walking up and chatting. It seems I never find myself in a good situation to create opportunity, or I just don't know how to. I had 2 girlfriends in high school, but it was nothing too serious. Right now I am in college, and am just finding myself busy and too shy to 'hit' on girls. Mind you I can talk to them, but asking them out is a whole different story.
So no, your not alone. You just aren't like most other guys that can chat up the ladies and play them... Instead you are honest, quiet and may just come across as boring. If a girl ever has a chance to get to know you though it will most likely be good from there. So don't give up.
