My dad wants me to like working in his restaurant, he just does not see that I hate everything about it, I hate working with him, don't get me wrong, I love my dad, I just hate working with him, and I am not interested in what he does. I love writing, I live in my own magical world when I write, and that to me is not living a Lie, Me living a lie would be me being something that I hate. I just don't know what to do now, he does not comprehend, I live no Lie, I only live a lie when I am on this world. Reply to this Question Share |

Well he might be a little upset at first but do you want to wake up for the rest of the blank # of years hating your job and life. Also he is your dad. I'm sure he'll respect your choice and get over it. After all, he probably just wants what is best for you.

If you want to write, you write, expand your knowledge, enjoy doing what you are good at.You need to sit down and speak to your Dad and tell him that your ambition is to write and ask for his understanding. He might be a little hurt at first, but in time, he will understand and will become very proud of you and the choices that you make.
