writes: hello readerswell where do i start. for some reason i feel that i am adopted i do look a bit like my mum and dad but i feel that it is just a similarity i have always felt that i wanted to be adopted and my real parents (thats if i am adopted) are american or canadian for some reason i don't know if this is normal or what but i feel very strongly and before anyone says something but i don't want a dna test i don't have that kind of money and i don't want to comfront my parents incase they get upset if it isn't true is there anyway i can find out (prefebly people from britain as it might be different in another country). next there is tv shoe that i really like and i watch it almost every day and there is an actress who is in it and i really like her and i know that its just a crush and i know that nothings going to happen as she has a boyfriend and shes 28 this year and i am 17 so no chance really and i just want some help on how to get over her. and finally i really like the shows about the fbi and other goverment agencies and i would definatley would like to be a goverment agent some how but i only want to do that if i am adopted and my real parents are american for some reason although the british goverment agencies are not really interisting for my personally, and i know that being a federal agent isn't going to be like those programs like 24 and that but i would like to do it but as i have said i only want to do it if i am actually american which basically isn't going to happen i need some advice quick please

My guess would be that if you can't work out how to get this information yourself then you wouldn't qualify to be an FBI Special Agent. Incidentally they have a minimum entry age of 23 and you'll need a university degree so you have a while to think it over.

reader, anonymous, writes (24 February 2010): whooah...um...you need to find and appreciate all of the tiny interesting details around you. get a life where you are right now. that would be my answer to all of your questions. it isn't any less or more boring than anywhere else in the world. sure, on the surface, things might seem different, but you've got to put some effort into seeing how where you are now is worth interacting with. as it is now, you seem to just live in a world of fantasy, and fantasies that aren't even within reach at that...some fantasies are almost attainable, but yours aren't and they seem just a means of escape for you.
