I am going to an 80's theme party, I have no idea what to wear, as I was barely born in the eighties, does anyone have any good suggestions to help me?

Then there was the new romantics, lots of big float shirts, very tight leather trouses, via Duran Duran... YUK... Or you could try the two tone look, black and white check from head to toe... That was popular in Britian at the begining of the 80's. The specials, madness and that crew wore it very well. Pointed shoes in black and white, or pointed white shoes with everything. Thanks for the post, it's was great to remember how bad things were and how lucky we are with fashion right now....

PS: Your hair and your make up have to be big, I mean really big. And you can uses as many different colours on your face and your hair as you want to.

The 80's were a bad time for fashion, people looked really stupid then. You could go for the Boy George/Madonna look which involved ripping your clothes, and having big holes and wearing 10 peices of non matching clothes together and wearing your hair in a mess....

You could wear a classy black dress, and say your the person who maintained dignity and fashion in a classic way all through the years...
