I am not in school so i have no tests or anything like that.
Also idk about going to see a doctor yet... i will wait and see if i miss a 3rd period, then i will go see a doctor... yet telling my mom, she would think i'm pregnant, and she doesn't trust me much. so lets see how this goes.

reader, anonymous, writes (11 July 2010): Have you been intimate with a guy? If you have been with a guy, you could very well be pregnant and I know that might be a very scarey thing for you to confront. If that is the case it's really best to address this as soon as possible.
However, you could simply just be late. Stress, hormonal factors, etc can cause this. I suggest you talk to your mom or another woman who you trust. It would be a good idea to go see a doctor and have things checked out.

At your age it is not too uncommon for periods to be irregular so don't worry. However, it could be a sign of medical problems such as polycystic ovaries or another sort of hormone imbalance. It is good for your health to have at least one period every six months (because the lining of the womb continues to build and build if it is not released). Sometimes women don't have periods for a while because their progesterone levels are too low. A doctor can give you a tablet to trigger a period. A simple blood test could figure out if you have a hormonal problem. However, periods can go away for other reasons - pregnancy, stress (doing exams at the moment?), changes in lifestyle (extreme exercise, dieting etc). I suggest you see a doctor for a checkup and mention any changes in lifestyle that may account for the lack of cycle.
