I'm starting to feel really uncomfortable about it because all of my friends have had boyfriends, and some have already started more, erm, PHYSICAL relationships. I have crushes, but I just can't picture myself really going out with anybody. I'm also REALLY shy; too shy to try talking to any guys. Is this normal?

Hey! I never dated a guy until I was in college and I'm SOOOO thankful that I never did. Girls mature faster than guys (physically and VERY mentaly). I know it seems like you should have a bf if all your friends do but if you keep some high standards, boys and your friends will respect you more.
Good luck :-

50% of guys your age still think girls are icky (they are right), the other 50% are after boobies (this never changes as they get older).
So, who do you want to date? Someone who thinks you are icky or someone who sees you as a boob carrier?
All your friends have had boyfriends... well, that is nice. Because ALL of your friends say the same, except ONE of their friends HASN'T.
Raging hormones make for terrible choices in bf's. How many of your friends are happy with their lives?

I am 13 years old too. And I have had a couple boyfriends, but they didn't like me for me. They were just desperate. I feel like I have a hard life and I always pray to god to give me a break, but I never get one. You are not the only one out there. I am the exact same way. It sucks I know. I love the attention, but I don't get it at all. I know hormones are changing and all that other annoying stuff, but we can make it. If you want someone to talk to, I am always online : )
