Hi! I have sort of a question about whether to do something or not.

I am a 17 year old girl who goes to an all-girls school. We have brother schools in which we are "supposed" to socialize with boys from. This is going to sound like a really silly question, but on facebook recently, I added this boy randomly who goes to the brother school because I saw a pic of him and thought he was cute. He added me back, but that's not really suprising, he may thought he met me at a party or something because we go to the socializing schools. I was wondering if it would be okay to send him a message like "hey your name sounds really familiar, sorry if I randomly added you, haha" or is that creepy? I would love to meet him, and we do have mutual friends, etc. but the set up may take a while. Is there any harm in doing that? Thanks for the help!!

OK so he replied saying: nothin so why did my name sound familiar?

I said - oh I think I got you and [insert boy with a similar name here] confused...your name has quite the ring to it.

Still waiting for a reply haha but he took a while on the last one...maybe he doesn't want to seem to eager? I think that's it.

He probably got off line before that.

Sometimes facebook doesnt really get that someone is off line right away.

So dont worry.

honkifuluvnicole agony auntOf course there is nothing wrong with that!!! You should just tell him that you recognize him and you think you might have similar friends and such. Im sure he will respond and not think that you are creepy.

Go for it girl!

Uncle Sneaker agony auntThere's absolutely nothing wrong with telling him "I added your picture because I think you look cute".

It's not "creepy". It's not wrong. It's not any of the things you think it might be.

Go for it, and ignore Dr Vendetta's not-so-veiled implication. He's wrong.
